Instruct a Solicitor

Contact us once you have an 'offer in principle' for a remortgage on a new mortgage deal and we'll send you an engagement letter, including a request for two forms of identification (for each named borrower).

Obtain a Mortgage Redemption Statement

Provide us with your existing mortgage or loan account details. We will then ask your lender for the title deeds to your property and a redemption statement for your existing mortgage.


Investigate Title & Searches

We will check the title to your property to ensure it meets your new lender’s requirements. If necessary, we'll submit searches on your behalf, although this is usually covered by search indemnity insurance, saving time and money.


Check Mortgage Offer

Your new lender will carry out a valuation on your home and make a formal remortgage or loan offer. When we get this, we'll go through the new lender's requirements and advise you of any special conditions of which you should be aware.


Sign Mortgage Documents

Once you are satisfied with the details and we have satisfied the new lender's requirements, we'll ask you to sign the new mortgage documents for your remortgage.


Pre-Completion Search

We will carry out a bankruptcy search and a Land Registry priority search to comply with the new lender’s requirements.



A remortgage completion date will be agreed and your old mortgage or loan is paid off with the advance from the new lender.



We will then register your remortgage with the Land Registry, and send you copies of the mortgage documentation.
